During the account creation process, you are required to go through the following steps:
- Create login password (to login to your account)
- Create transaction/security PIN (for authorizing transactions)
- Given a 12-word mnemonic** phrase which you need to repeat in the exact sequence shown to ensure that you have noted it correctly.
- Summary info including your 16-digit account number, login password and security pin at the final account creation screen.
You are strongly advised to immediately write down your 12-word mnemonic phrase (along with other account related info which you might forget) and store this information securely offline. Do not keep your mnemonics and security information on your phone.
Next, enable “2-Factor Authentication” (2FA) under Settings in order to be able to process transactions (e.g.: Authy or Google Authenticator). This is a second level security in addition to the transaction PIN required to authorize transactions.
Transactions without 2FA will not be processed (please go to Google Play Store or Apple App Store to download or update to the latest app version if you do not see this feature in your Settings section).
The 12-word mnemonic** phrase is required to recover your account number, change your password or reset your transaction PIN (if you’ve forgotten either or both) and for other security related changes.
Note that the company cannot help you recover your account (and your crypto assets). Neither can we help to reset your password or disable your 2FA etc should you lose your mnemonic phrase. Therefore, to reiterate, please DO NOT LOSE your mnemonic phrase.
Additionally, never share or reveal your security info to anyone (login password, transaction PIN and msot importantly, your 12-word mnemonic phrase) - not even the person who introduced you to EXXA platform.
Please be reminded that the keeping your account secure and protected is solely your own responsibility. The company has already incorporated multiple levels of security features to assist you with this and we need for you to do your part as well.
